Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of animal health, exhibit upkeep and animal husbandry including maintenance of live exhibits, life support system and species identification and knowledge.
- Responsible in the daily filtration maintenance and water testing of freshwater and saltwater systems.
- Prepare and administer daily animal feeds.
- Keep detailed records of feeding, health and animal behavior.
- Actively involve interpreting exhibits, both formal and informal public interactions and educational presentations.
- Diving required for feeding performance or show.
- Oversee part-timers, volunteers and interns in assigned areas.
- Involve in capturing and quarantining sick animals and restraining animals for veterinary treatments.
- May be required to travel to various locations specimens collection from sea or river.
- Other tasks and ad-hoc tasks that are assigned.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Science or Aquaculture or equivalent.
- At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Open water diving skills and certifications such as first aid and CPR are necessary.
- Preferably to hold Malaysian drivers license.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kota Kinabalu.
- Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Marine Science or Aquaculture or equivalent.
- Full-Time Contract position available.
