Laboratory Assistant - Yanmar Kota Kinabalu R&D Center Sdn. Bhd.

Responsibilities

To assist in the set up and upkeep of science laboratories, laboratory equipment, chemicals and any other related laboratory items for the purpose of experiments and R&D activities
To assist in the lab analysis, operating analytical instrument/equipment, assisting in the implementation of the laboratory system and any related technical matters
To keep an inventory and matain proper stock/materials records used in the laboratory
Responsible for lab cleanliness, maintenance & calibration of laboratory equipment
Responsible for safety and security of science laboratories at all times


 

Requirements

• Possess SPM/STPM/Pre-U/Diploma in Chemistry or relevant qualifications in any science background
• Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply
• 1-2 years related working experience in Science labs would be an advantage
• Good communication and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Applicants must be willing to work in Kota Kinabalu
• Full-time position
• Possess own transport
• Experience in laboratory instrumentation would be an added advantage
• Ability to handle chemicals and laboratory instruments/apparatus in a safe manner
• Ability to handle minor repairs and maintenance of lab equipment
• Good in laboratory reports writing
• Ability to work in team and independently with minimum supervision
• Good interpersonal skills, result-oriented with proven qualities
• Computer literate/internet
